We plan to shorten the duration of the Battle Pass to about a third. - The whole appeal of the battle pass was that you could play leisurely when you wanted, and still get everything. Battle Pass is your way of player retention, but in light of dwindling numbers it seems you've decided to turn it into 9-to-5 job. No thanks.
rewards from subsequent Battle Passes won't be added to the shop - FOMO again? You were told, repeatedly, that one of your game's few strengths is its vast arsenal of toys to play with. Instead of making them available to everyone you go out of your way to gate it all behind some nonsense like events, battle passes, holiday sales. When will you listen? Remove FOMO from the game, do a single shop where everything can be obtained with universal event tickets you earn through every event. People will play them more.
This self-loading carbine chambered for the powerful .351 SL cartridge with a 20-round detachable magazine - Yeah, I don't care. The merge splitted the playerbase into dedicated low BR and high BR players, so now you have to put out DOUBLE the amount of stuff if you want to have the entirety of your community engaged.
ranks above First Lieutenant will require fewer rating points. - The number of points wasn't the problem. The problem was points earning criteria, matchmaking is nonexistent and getting fair teams is a tall order. In this reality, winning games criteria is unreasonable and should be replaced with something else. Come on guys, I made a whole thread on that!
As overall feedback, I currently put Enlisted down and I don't know when/if I'm coming back. My premium time is running out soon and I won't be renewing. I haven't bothered with a battle pass or events for a while now.
The best change you made this year was silver economy - lower prices and rewards for battle heroes eased the grind needed to progress at high BR, which brought me back to the game for a while. That's after you killed my interest in playing with how you implemented Stalingrad compensation, with the way to get it involving not playing at all for a month.
Recently, there are two ways how you screwed up:
1) Halloween event. You saw how popular the zombie mode was, and decided to give it more emphasis and see if it has potential to become the whole game. Hence the battlepass for it and the whole thing. This mode completely alienated me. I played it once, maybe twice. Buying a battle pass for it wasn't even a consideration for me.
2) New squad types. After the bangers last year (paratroopers, APC) I expected something cool, maybe an officer squad. What I got instead was a sidegrade of the radioman squad with all game design issues of radiomen still there. And then guerillas are a glorified assaulter squad that can only use smgs which fall off hard compared to assault and select rifles in BRV. It seems to me you've run out of ideas on what could be added to the game, without investing into overhauling its core design principles.
I officially uninstalled and removed Enlisted from my account completely. I know a Russian Scam when I see one.
Besides all that FOMO-inducing over the top cashgrabbery just drives potentially interested players away. But you do do you.
This will be Awesome
Please implement it
We've decided to axe the only feature about the BP that our players liked! Eat ♥♥♥♥, waning playerbase!
Snark aside; this seems like a really poor change.
I predominantly play Japan, and I find out that - I won't get a new BP weapon for Japan until *the second season of 2025*. You know what wasn't an issue beforehand? Never getting Japanese weapons, because I could *choose my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weapon from the shop*. This change seems predatory at worse, and uninformed of community opinion at best. The old shop system was *perfectly* fine, possibly one of the best systems currently in the field for live service games and the BEST thing about the entire BP system; especially considering the progression for the system itself is dogwater - bordering on hogshit.
All the old system needed is a new way to make tangible progress in the battlepass, and more weapons added to the *SHOP* (and also maybe more gold orders in general, but I could understand this adding just too much value to the Elite BP). Taking away player choice so you can peddle out weapons at your own pace is such a bad ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ move, and it feels like all DF is doing is playing chicken with the playerbase to try and see who will blink first. Also, pissing in my face and telling me it's raining doesn't soften the blow on one of the worst DF decisions to date (up there with the hilarity of the botched Steam launch).
Also DAMN does "We also see your interest in previous Battle Pass rewards that have long since been withdrawn from the shop. We're considering using them as rewards in future events - stay tuned!" have an awfully ominous air to it now considering the Veteran's Boxes just came and went.
