How does matchmaking work? BR1 fights BR2; BR2 fights BR3; Etc...

So like sometimes I wanna play BR1, I equip BR1 equipment on EVERYTHING. Down to like the cantines and mines and stuff.

Equipping BR1? I fight against BR2. Okay...

So what about BR2? I equip BR2 equipment for everything, same song and dance.

Equipping BR2? I fight against BR3...

I do the same for each rank and it seems I'm somehow STILL surprised to see gear just ONE level ahead of me and this makes a BIG difference for lower levels.

When I'm in BR2, I don't expect to see Shermans, but somehow I do???

In BR1, I don't expect to see BR2 equipment. Simple as is right?

I even check the matchmaking and it shows BR1 to BR2 and BR2 to BR3.

BR1 to BR2 Im more lenient on but beyond that is a little unfair.
Sometimes the matchmaking won't even SHOW BR2 to BR3 and still show BR1 to BR2 for BR2 equipment yet I see BR3 equipment.

Is it just advantageous to equip the best of the best BRV equipment so you never have to deal with this??? How does it really work?

Should you always equip higher level equipment or is BR1 and BR2 that true medium where if you somehow fight against BR3 or one up, you'll still have SOMEwhat of an advantage?

Tier one gear is what you want if you want mellow more fair game play well better chance that is. once you get above tier 2 gear the game and match making turns into BS. so unless you drink red bull every day go for it. but if you want a more slow pace stay tier 1. but still tier 1 does get tier 3 tanks some times but rarely

Me who puts BR1 gear on still owns BR2 with it... Puts BR2 on, some times gets BR3 still does good. Gets Br2 as top and is living god. Yeah this is why they tend up tier lol. Also BR3 if its decent gear can kill BR V its not as easy but I still won at BR 3 vs BR V for starters get this your not the only one on your team lol. Even if you are in top 3 players so I could BR3 and still win BR V I can be BR IV and still lose against BR3 its all luck of the draw really sigh..

lol all my squads are BR 2 and 3 yet i can still cook 4s and 5s even with my ♥♥♥♥ 300 ping playing on servers half way around the world.... it sounds like a skill issue, sure some spam squads are harder than others but theres always a way.....
1 thing you can do if you are getting rekt is take 1 unit and go the long way around the field and just hunt enemy respawn structures and apcs, it may not be glorious but if you are out gunned then fight the logistics game. i've been in so many battles where we are down and with 1 side mission we make a massive comeback but nobody will ever know what you did for them, just like in real war.

Runing head first into LMG and HGM guns is also stupid as hell. Like BR 3 on smoke actually is useful, tacitcs suddenly matter. Like I just saw in BR3 vs russian they guned the hell out my team with full auto smgs and guns it was a ♥♥♥♥ show. I took flamethrower squad NEWLY UNLOCKED threw a smoke, ran using smoke as cover, found 7 dudes inside a log cabin camping my team burned them all to death lol Got killed by another guy took my engiener I started making COVER between spawn and the next building suddenly my team is pushing better as they not all running in the wide open like leminings they can get cover behind my sand bags and reload.
Like I hate that I got treat my team like bots when they just people like you going "this worked in BR1 why it not work now? Its like for love of christ you still got an AT rifle on you at soldiers back that is half the reason you at guy is WORTHLESS get him stormpistol sigh Same deal using bolt actions, its like just do BR1 till you at min get the stormpistol man ideal get an semi auto while you at it.

Like I refuse to go to tier IV till I got at least one decent BR IV weapon for every solider, and you guys are like "why this no work? Why they got bad ass SMGs and good full auto LMGS and building HMG nests and my BR 1 bolt action no good now? Why the BR 3 using grenade launchers? Why the tank HE suddenly good now!?" Its like dude this rest game will be from that point on you gonna see HE all over, you gonna see nades used properly like crazy, you gonna see SMGs, and full auto LMGs, you see machine gun nests built in windows and hallways.

And you guys are like "Why it no like BR1 when the tanks made of paper and enemy was using biplanes? Why they got use good vehicles and guns all sudden!?"

Thank you for the guide, i do know how to play tho.
But claiming that better gear and coms isnt an advantage is just silly, especially if you have military training, then you should know that both are a big advantage.
