Can you share any more details? Have you played any other Gaijin game on Steam ? Which one? Or anything ...

I had already linked my account because I play WT regularly.
I clicked on the play via Steam button and everything seems fine. I have my progress, when I bought a vehicle and closed the client, in the Steam version I already had it. So it works.

I have the same problem. I already play Warthunder through steam....do I just click the "use existing account" option?

You should put a note for this type of players who already play WT via Steam with the Gaijin account.

Once you have Linked your Gaijin Account E-Mail on Steam, is linked no matter what Gaijin Game you have played.

Same here, when the overlay open and I put my gaijin account, it say's already linked.

If you have already played any Gaijin game on Steam, your Gaijin Account is already linked. You can progess with "Use existing Account" andd then it works.

With todays announcement of the return to steam it says under account linking:

Upon first launching the game, you'll be prompted to link your Steam and Gaijin accounts, regardless of whether you've previously linked this or another account to Steam through other Gaijin games.

So if I understand that correctly upon starting the game I will have to link my account even if I have played a gaijin title in the past on steam, like for example WT (which I have).
But upon booting up the game I see achievements unlocking in the background and it doesnt ask me to link my account as it already is linked? I thought I had to link it regardless if I had played a gaijin game or not.
So which one is it? Should I click use existing account or login via gaijin?
I dont want to mess this up as it says it will permanently replace my progress if I link with gaijin.

If you have played WT via Steam (and liked your Gaijin Account) you can press "use Existing Account" Steam will look then for your Gaijin Account and copy the game progress on Steam.

If you press Logging via gaijin.net if will give the error message like this

Wait for a response, I've tried loggin in with my gaijin and it was saying already. So I've closed the overlay and use the second option. I has created a new game profile and I can't use my save on steam. If i launch the launcher from the steam directory I can loggin with the proper account...
