It appears that as an officer you lose points after a defeat. Don't know if this is fair as much of a result is in the hands of 9 other players not to mention deserters. Case to point 5 games as the Russians 5 losses and back to Colonel. Each time we were up against opposition getting points in the 5000s or high 4000s while our teams we lucky to crack 3000. Also games were over in less than 15min. Suggestion if you reach a certain point level in the losing team you shouldn't lose rating point.

if you get a medal you get 0 points total dont you? 1 for medal 1 for victory -1 for lose

ye but iv seen people with over 30 or even 50 kills simply deserting close to ending the game, so i suppose it was a stupid reason like that

I think if you are in the top 3, you should be safe. It's stupid to hold these people accountable for the loss when they were the ones most likely carrying the team.

I would also like to add that if you desert, then you should automatically take double the penalty of a loss, regardless of whether the team flips the battle and wins without you.

No problems with losing ratings if you desert indeed double the penalty. Not sure about the metal but will keep an eye on it though it makes sense

On a loss you will lose 1 point. you however gain 1 point if you have at least 1 battle hero. so if you lose, but have a battle hero, you lose 0. Keep in mind the ranking system has nothing to do with matchmaking and is purely fro the rank up rewards.

Can Confirm that you don't lose rating if you have a battle hero. Just lost 3 in a row but got a battle hero in each and didn't lose a rating point.
