WW2 still has a lot to offer, especially at the snail's pace we're going at, with a new map every 6 months or so.
There's no need to go Cold War, yet. If Enlisted doesn't die any time soon and has a long life like War Thunder, it might make sense in the future. But at the moment it would be extremely wrong, in my opinion.
And in any case it would make more sense to go back to WW1 before Cold War.
You could reuse all the factions already present, adding at least two tiers to the TT. You could also easily add new factions that had a secondary/marginal role in WW2, but fought a lot in WW1.
It would be possible to create stuff for the soviets and america only and they fight eachother then in a korean war setting eventually adding korean and chinese squads.
So I think it's pretty natural to also assume the same will happen here. I am not saying it will, I am just saying it wouldn't be unheard of that they make new BR tiers that are cold war and up
before anyone says that their will be no infantry in warthunder because it was april fools , if anyone knows the snail then we know the event was to test a new mechanic like UFO event was test VTOL
