so there is no point in having two in one squad unless you want consider one might go down ? other than that no advantage to having two in one squad ?

That is the only point like most can't even do two, the radio squad its good as they get the reduced cooldown and can call rockets, and bombers, so it sucks really bad when the radio man is killed unless you got back up, rest the cooldown is stupid long so really you only need one unless you really really want that arty, and think some how 2 will make it so they live for 4 minutes after first one is called... But I never seen that happen, so I just do one so I can get 1 arty call if lucky a spawn with that squad.

"and think some how 2 will make it so they live for 4 minutes after first one is called.." whats this mean ? they auto die after calling strike ? what the heck ?

The only reason to have a backup radio operator is just incase your first radio operator dies. It does not give any faster cooldown, because dedicated radio squads have faster cooldowns compared to other squads that you fit a radio operator in. Also cooldown is shared among squads, it applies to radio squads also as far as I know but slightly faster, because they do not share the same cooldown as to when you use artillery strike from a non-dedicated radio squad.

Since dedicated radio squads can be upgraded to have the x2 artillery strike, the cooldown still applies to them but is just cut down in half compared to when you use artillery from other non-radio squad. So you cannot just call one arty in a squad, die, and then expect to call arty immediately. But you can if it is a radio squad since the cooldown is short compared to non-dedicated radio squads.

This means THEY DIE WHEN SHOT. Its crazy I know but when enemy shoots them with bullets, melees them, hits them with a cannon, arty fire, rockets or a bomb THEY DIE.

Seriously bots die all the time in battle, and you don't have to be the radioman to call in the strikes, you just hit button with anyone in that unit and they take a knee and call it in for you. That being said they kind crap to play as the player, rifleman can have grenade launchers which I prefer over freaking rifle even semi auto. And I normally these days if rock a flame thrower, an assualter, or an LMG squad. So no I put a radioman into my squads sure no issue. But even with radio man squad I be rocking the lmg over the radio man. Meaning its now a dumb bot.

And higher tier matchs like BR2+ people like EXPLOSIVES I know I love them most my kills are from impact nades, BR3 grenade launcers, or me hitting be and cutting an enemy squad in half with mg34. Point is again odds my radio man being alive for 4 minutes in a big boy battle is pretty damn slim.

Like bots die all the time in game i never had a match where some how bots live entire match. Its the complete opposite normally I find I am last one standing after 4 minutes because again there is tank HE being fired CAS attacking us, grenades, rifle granades, rockets, and so many damn automatics. When go BR3 you see it way way less bolt actions and guys using them are using grenade launcher versions.

Only time i use a bolt action now is if I can strap a grenade to the barrel and fire it and laugh as I get 2-7 kills with one shot depnding on how clusted they are. Like nothing is more fun then firing it in a window and seeing 7 kills as guys whole sqaud was in that room with him lol. Same deal with impacts toss on in the room, and kill 4 people its just a fun feeling. Once you get to BR3 it feels like WW2 for once, its way faster paced there is no sit back and think it out, or wait. Its people with assaulter squads decked out charging you, you charging them. You also get APCs in BR 2 once you got those its way faster then making a spawner so you find everyone pushing way harder.

Having 3 radio dudes can be great then you can about garentee a arty every spawn. or smoke call in. i do it often. just becarfull not to use the radio call ins in the non radio squads other wise you sit at a normal cooldown

It is a one cooldown for every player. But idiots were complaining about the artillery spam and developers have bugged the artillery some time ago, so it shows always "ready", even it is not.
