1. Swapping from front-line infantry squad to a tanker squad and being useful to your team in both is comparable to Battlefield.
2. You're playing Infantry Warthunder, you gotta expect this game to suck a little bit.
3. Yeah the netcode is pretty ass, and Heavy MG's/Cannons are inconsistent on walls you can shoot through.
4. Easy Anticheat is used
5. BR 1 is WWI-Interwar stuff while BR 2 pushes early WWII, which we all know is where the fun fps guns got made, right? The BR system is also not good, but at least they try.
6. The economy is bad unless you play a ton and buy the battlepass, it really needs improvement.
7. Don't spend money upgrading weapons to max either unless it's a special weapon to you or the Garand.
8. You'll buy the weapon once for the research (like Warthunder) but you'll realize the BR1 Bolt Action one shots people like the BR3 bolt action, so why buy so many.
9. USA's tech tree should really be called Allies and Germany as Axis but w/e
10. Japans start is rough, their first tank, the Ta-Se, has the Gunner and Loaders head poking up just enough for anyone on the map to want to play Whack-A-Mole. Japans military tech wasn't exactly "advanced" so the Allies are using Thompsons while you're still using Bolt Actions and Katana's (which the Japanese get as a melee weapon)
11. Only buy BR 1 stuff as anything further is overpriced to hell and back. Warthunder-like 50% off sale is sick, though
12. again, usual 50% off sale
13. The Battlepass is *okay*
14. The past two got end-of-season delays
15. Backpack Upgrade for troops lets you equip them with either: four grenades, three more mags/clips, or 5 medkits/tools. Ammo is cool when your HMG guy has more rounds than he could reasonably carry alone.
16. TNT is like a Heavy Grenade that can damage tanks and Molotovs also damage tanks engines. You pick tiny grenades when you dont want to buy more TNT and Molotovs.
2. one squad is 40 dollars
3. you will be using springlock rifles only for the first 20 hours while your enemy will have thompsons etc
4. the grind is insane
2 The games main A.I feature is brain dead and will do nothing but annoy with no attempt to cover them self's and kill other A.I unless it a inch away from them , they serve as free kills and to fill up servers
3 you will be expected to do events at times you don't want to because if you don't you will miss out on exclusive rewards like paratroopers and Armed APC's and special weapons (not in the base free grind tree)
4 you will find yourself fighting for XP,Kills,Score against your own teammates just to survive in this game which ends up being exhausting to do every game and just shows how much of a job this game really is
So far I've spent $0 on this game. However, I did spend probably 10 hours trying it out, and these arguments, as well as these ones:
All very accurate, honestly.
I can't stress enough how true it is that the AI ONLY serve as a "free kill" at this point. It reminds me of when I'd intentionally set the AI difficulty to 0% in Battlefield 1942 as a child, so that there was no difficulty in mowing down dozens of enemies. They basically just stand there or run out in the open and let you obliterate them, can't even defend a building and instead act as a points farm for the enemy team.
Nevertheless, many premium squads have serious problems because of the recently introduced battle ratings system. It's the same with many non-premium things as well, but at least with those you aren't paying to suffer.
So when I start I will play not the weapons at 5., i will spend silver not at soldiers, i will start with japan and buy random weapons.
Then I will buy everything but never at sale
5. - This is prob the best advice, BR2 is where the fun is. BR5 is all about explotions everywhere, all the time. (i do prefer the VG.2 over the Pre-War-Kar98k tho)
The real point of that advice is that with the way BRs work right now (or rather that they are broken as hell), there's massive incentive to stay at BR 2 until you have a full BR 5 set. BR #1 and #4 get uptiered 100% of the time, #3 is a purgatory meant to make everyone suffer.
There are more and bigger explotions at higher BR so yes it is defo a BR thingy.
Big tanks and AT-cannons with big shells, and planes with a lot of explosive stuff ect.
I have most if not all the endgame stuff for Germany and all but some Tommy guns for US. And i am staying at BR2 because its much more fun and a lot less explotions.
