So you hit the launch point, and begin your long glide, but for whatever reason your car always seems to drop UNDER the landing point - if you don't touch anything, right? Yeah, I screwed this up a LOT before I figured out that you need to shift the nose of your car (I almost said "aircraft", which is effectively the same thing) which will BLOCK your vision of your landing site. Don;t panic, but just give the vehicle a small amount of boost, then shift your car's nose down a little to see if your adjustment "shifted" your approach enough to land close to where you wanted. The game is STILL a video game, so you'll need to re-correct your "nose" angle or your vehicle will start to lose altitude, just like if it were a real aircraft with wings and all. Longer "burns" on the Boost will proved larger corrections, and you can (in fact) fly OVER/PAST the landing zone, causing the standard "respawn" behavior along with the associated loss of lap time. I wasted a LOT of time learning this, and it's still my weakest performance point.
Hitting your Jump Jets will give you a small altitude adjustment, but it's a "burst" not a "jet" effect, so it's not going to give you the adjustment consistency that changing your glide path via your vehicle nose trim (and Boosting) will; finer control generally wins the day, and about 70% of the time I hit it flawlessly DESPITE my loud complaints about it.
I find the challenge (and finally figuring out how to make it) quite rewarding, though; it was an unexpected bonus in the new version!!!
Finally I did, It was hard but now it's done. Yay Thanks a lot.
