What do you all think of the TRs 301?
I'm helping out freedom atm, and thinking about joining them. I see most of them carrying this gun, That or the IL 86. I think it looks very cool, but then I've always been a fan of american assualt rifles.

But After reading the wiki, it seems like it would be jamming a whole lot more often then my ak. So I wanted to hear from you guys who have used this weapon extensivley. How did you find it? Did you like how it upgraded? Did you find it jamming alot, or ammo for it hard to come by?

I love the IL 86 in CoP but it is a piece of crap in Clear Sky.

TRs 301 is a better bet but it does jam a lot. Ammo in general is easy to scavage. I usually stick with it until I can get my hands on a better gun like a GP37.

I guess. Using the 3 shot burst setting saves a ton on weapon endurance. When you join Freedom they give you a much better gun (the SGi 5k with scope mod) for free so if your going with Freedom just stick with that instead. :p

interesting, I like where freedoms head is at, but I haven't heard the other sides counter offer. I think, thats called duty

I carry two rifles, one that uses east european ammo, other that uses western ammo, that way im sure to never run out of ammo.
In CS the viper 5 (especially if upgraded) is surprisingly good even at medium range and ammo is plentiful, so that would be a third option.
If you got to freedom base, i hope you wiped the bandit base in the previous area and got the seva suit reward, also looted the artifact that makes you carry an extra 10 kilos weight from their base.
As for the factions, CS goes crazy about that, you can learn more about it on the stalker forums.
I wiped the bandit camp with an il 86, great wep always carried one in all stalker games but it jams A LOT.
Fully upgraded ak2 (upgraded for max accuracy) is overpowered, one-hit kill headshots from great distance.

no, what seva suit? I just avoided the bandits in the previous area, should I go back and wipe them out?

if you get the mission to wipe out the bandit base for the stalkers (it pops up randomly) make sure you do it, i got a seva suit and 10k rubles as reward
Make sure there is a mission for it, otherwise you dont get the reward.

The bandit base/mechanic is the one who upgrades SEVA suits by the way, if you can avoid shooting the first bandits you encounter(unless you didn't rescue wolfs brother in rookie base) then you should be able to head over to their base and buy info for around 500-1500 for the stashes containing the upgrade modules.

dammit, is there anyone else that can upgrade the seva suit? I helped out the stalkers and killed the bandits.

can upgrade it in the duty base, probably freedom too but not sure.

IL 86 fully upgraded for range and power (sniper settings) leave ammo setting alone, this gun is super accurate (almost every bullet is 100% on target) and does tons of damage (1-2shot kill in head depending on armor)

love it, recommend it, use it

oh, and it may sound silly but my backup is a fully upgraded "Martha" 19 bullets, jams rarely and ammo is all over the place, it really is the perfect backup imo

See now I have the See now I have the Black Kite, and my martha with full upgrades.

Can you get upgrades for a black kite? After all, who wouldn't want a desert eagle in their aresnal?

sounds cool but it really doesnt offer that much more damage over the martha (would in real life... but this is a game) and the fact it only has 7 bullets (meaning with upgrade it would have 11) its kind of limited in the ammo dept. not to mention the recoil the gun really jumps up and obscures your view. again... just my opinions here.
