I play on 1440p and the game runs fine, but i think after reloading it gets worse and worse and i need a restart eventually.
Not many ppl playing this sadly. When i see my preformance goes to ♥♥♥♥, i just restart the game and it works for a time. I hope CoP, dosen't has this issue.
Okay, I think if you put the game into DX 9 mod, the problem goes away. Not 100% but looks good so far.
In my case, with my 6900XT, I was able to get better performance and less stutters, on DX10, by going into the game's exe file > properties > "disable fullscreen optimizations".
The game tends to also have inconsistent drops if you leave the framerate uncapped. The in-game Vsync option is broken so disable that, go to your GPU's control panel, and force vsync to see if that makes a difference. It certainly did on my end.
One last hoora:
Use NT Core's 4GB patch to allocate more RAM to the game. The game's exe (XRay something) is 32-bit only, and only uses 2GB of system memory. I can't guarantee the patch will give you overall better performance, but it can prevent other issues.

1440p, DX10, max settings (any AA is turned OFF), forced Vsync. Pretty much hits my monitor's 144Hz refresh rate almost constantly, even past an hour of gameplay and quite a few loading screens.

(Highly HIGHLY recommend the Sky Reclamation Project pack listed on this wiki; keeps the game vanilla and fixes tons of issues).
Thanks I will try this.
My game also maxes out frame wise, even I increased the grass draw distance and it's fine. I have some stutter but it's not that bad, I can live with that. It's the traversal stutter but it fast and it doesn't bother me that much for some reason.
I also use SRP too.
I will try out the 4gb patch and the disabling full screen optimization.
But i think dx9 looks fine, I know I loose wet surfaces and volumetric fog, but it doesn't loose performance or not that fast.
Does the 4Gb patch works for CoP too?
As I soon finish Clear Sky.
Turn sun rays to low, plenty of performance guides out there. Sun rays and SSAO are poorly optimized. Game is actually pretty intensive, can play BF1 4k ultra but can barely run CS in 1080p
Tweaking other things didnt increase anything by much.
Could you specify which settings? Tried looking for them, but all I can see that relates to DX10 is Turn On/Off DX10 option in the advanced settings (which btw is greyed out by default for me and I can't seem to turn it on).
Maybe some of the older mods that don't add to many changes could help these games work better?

Now I have my game locked at 125 fps and I have not even started modding the thing.
What the hell is going on with it? Is there an .ini or .cfg file I could look into the gett the framerate closer to my desired 144hz monitor?
I run the thing on an RTX 3070, even at 1080p still, so I can't imagine it has anythign to do with my hardware.
Edit: Oh and I only put the game on DX 9 Dynamic Lighting mode, yet.
