How to kill Strelok?

Questions above.
1. Start mission, get GAUS-Rifle
2. Shoot Strelok down to around 20%
3. First Portal, kill all the enemies (thankfully they aren't able to throw nades 50 Meter exactly at your postion. oh wait)
4. Leave portal, "hurry up, kill strelok". But there is no Strelok neither his flashing surroundings. There is an indicator on the map, but there is nobody.
5. next portal, nade-pros again, kill all.
6. Leave second portal, one enemy spawns, kill him. "You ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, you didnt kill Strelok", emission, Game Over.

What do I do wrong?

So the big picture is : Scar is the curse of the zone . It must have a reason that he survived psi-storms twice . The zone used him to prevent stalkers from getting close to the center . And the best scene is that He became one of those protectors of the C-counsciousness , the monolith . In Soc , sometimes you ( strelok) would find a monolith officer (NPC) named Scar in Pripyat Theater . That should be him .

just restart the game, the health gets stuck sometimes idk thats what i did

I've never been close to Strelok when I've kill him.

weird i killed strelok but didnt get the credits instead im in chernobyl reactor with a bunch of dead monolith and clear sky members with only 1 clear sky member alive who is just going around with his flashlight and ak47 and nothing happends i dont get a mission like search for the commander o strelok (sorry for my bad english d:)

So let me get this straight, after Strelok enters the first portal, the game is lost? Because after I went through an area with an ambush where soldiers were teleported in, Clear Sky is telling me to shoot Strelok, but I cannot see him, and the red quest icon on the minimap isn't even moving!
Edit: I caught up to him later, when he started climbing the ladder upwards, however, he was immune to ALL shots from my gauss rifle.
Edit #2: Strelok being immune was caused by scumsaving, so I quickloaded once more end managed to finish him off. This game was an immense disappointment to me.
