Taking Garbage.
So, in my current game I am with the Loner faction. I've pushed the Bandits back to their base. And in my first attempt to take it over I ended up winning and using all of my ammo and health kits in the process. Everything was fine until roughly thirty seconds later.

I left the base for a few moments to plink at a few survivors with my handgun when suddenly my PDA was shouting at me telling everybody that the Bandists have taken the Garbage back. Sure enough there was probably around twenty of the guys in the base again. And now, unlike last time, every time I enter the base my weapons are lowered. Is there any way to prevent this? Because it's a little bothersome.

This is a common bug as the other dude stated, you clear out the bandit base and they'll just call reinforcements, ironically. If you clear outposts with bandits they'll reinforce them with new troops after a while. Garbage in Clear Sky is a mess, you'll have to do a lot of endless running from event to event. I believe the only way to be sure that the bandits are gone is after you get the quest to wipe them out permanently.

The automatic weapon-holstering bug was fixed a long time ago in the Sky Reclamation Project. As for the sporadic spawning of new bandit squads -- I'm afraid that's a side-effect of GSC making faction bases 'eliminate' targets rather than 'capture' targets: friendly squads will not attempt to capture / occupy an enemy base, so enemies will just re-spawn there once emptied. This issue will be addressed in the next version of the SRP, along with many other issues with the faction wars.
