Night Vision Totally Useless?
Like all Night Vision does is add a green or blue tint to the screen. It doesnt actually make it any easier to see in dark areas. Total waste of money.

Well I played Shadow of Chernobyl a long time ago, but I think there the second gen NV was atleast somewhat viable unless im remembering it wrongly. In Clear Sky 1st and second gen seem to be same just with a different color tint.

It does work actually, its just intentionally ♥♥♥♥ until the last tier where its very easy to see, gen 1 lets you see barely visible outlines of stuff.

Night vision in this game is actually pretty decent.

In SoC, gen 1 night vision is dark and blurry, and it actually gives some people a headache. Basically garbage. Gen 2 is very good and makes the final parts of the game easier.

In CS, both generations were made better. Gen 1 is still kind of dark green, but at least it's clear and provides some illumination. Gen 2 is very good, and it can even be used to enhance vision during the day.

everything works fine, maybe you have the wrong monitor contrast settings? night vision is very helpful during night outings

Well if I lower the brightness till the night is PITCH BLACK than the night vision helps in seeing during the night. Otherwise it has no noticeable effect besides the colored tint.
