Bleeding mechanic sucks any way to turn it off?

Got stuck on the entrance to garbage. After fighting the military, my health was depleted and due to bleeding I couldn't even leave the compound without dying. Spent 45 minutes bleeding to death trying everywhere for bandages, then got lucky when a crate nearby dropped a medkit and managed to find three different bandages lying around. Wasn't able to load a previous save because I had just transitioned between levels on accident and accidently quicksaved mashing the quick-bandage key. Is there any way to turn off bleeding? Or at least turn it down? It wasn't nearly this bad in SOC. Just getting into firefights is more than enough challenge for me.

In SoC bandages were useless, bleeding got away itself and bandages were only used as a mini-medkit (they replenished health).
In CS developers made bleeding much more dangerous and you need bandages to constantly be in your inventory, just like medkits or ammo.

I’ve got myself bleeded to death in certain places, but usually any NPC can sell either bandage, or some food (it can replenish your health and give you more time on searching for bandages).

if i remember right theres an artifact at the place with a lot of vehicles in garbage, it stops bleeding after a few seconds

lol it does not matter if you use SRP or not, changing configs does not require any mods at all.
Using cheats so you’re not exploiting glitches, great solution.

Um try bringing some bandages and using them? Usually helps you know......

Its part of the game really. You are never supposed to soak bullets and 1 or 2 can usually kill you so be carefull.
