Night Time - how long is it in real time?
In STALKER Clear Sky, how long does the dark last in our real time?

One of the worst aspects of this great game is that we can't skip the night time.

8 game hours = 0.8 real hours = 48 real minutes. But given the context you provided for your question, see: http://www.moddb.com/mods/srp

night vision goggles make it real easy--you get them in a drop at the garbage or a lil sooner

If the dark really bothers you, and you don't consider it "cheating", just tone up on gamma & brightness, and down on contrast on the Options

Actually, going at nights is really safe.

Can I edit the time factor itself in some file somehow?
Decane Oct 25, 2020 @ 2:58am
You can modify the time_factor in gamedata/configs/alife.ltx. But beware that this will delay / hasten in-game events implemented using on_game_timer in the game's logic scripts, which can have various side-effects ranging from innocuous to game-breaking.

For example, setting the time_factor too low breaks Lebedev's walking-away animation after his starting conversation with Scar. There are ways to prevent this, e.g. using on_timer instead of on_game_timer in the relevant logic script. But on_timer has its own problems in other contexts (e.g. its timer keeps running even while the game is paused on the menu screen).

I've been playing games for song I've played games that take place at night, games during the day, games that are just dark no matter what, like a dungeon. I don't even really notice nor mind the day and night transitions. By notice I mean mind.

Eventually you'll adapt and won't mind it anymore. Like all new things.

But yeah, a Simple game option to disable morning and night cycles or disable day and evening cycles or just select whichever the players would prefer should have been included. Oh well.
