So another question: Does any Mod out there fix the DX10 mode?
Now days I only run stalker in DX10. Won't ever go back to DX11.
lol why?
DX11 provides better performance. DX10 isn't supported, it was a development flop and they abandoned it with Windows 7.
My PC:i7 4770K+16G+GTX970 SLI
I can't understand that.
My DirectX10 mode works relatively well on my RX 480, I will do some further testing.
well, would still be interesting, so thanks!
In addition, it does allow you to enable some extra anti-aliasing options such as anti-aliasing on grass and it automatically enhances the lighting, but at some cost on the GPU and also CPU.
I suggest when enabling all these features to stay at the 1024x768 or 1280x960 resolutions, since widescreen aspect ratio's such as 1280x720 or 1920x1080 does hit CPU performance and GPU performance. The 1024x768 resolution looks more natural on this game anyways, but in the DX10 mode you have to set the desktop to 1024x768 as well, since the game does upscaling by itself in DX10 mode, and your screen will think it is receiving a 1920x1080 image and prohibit you from forcing aspect ratio settings monitor-side.
