Thanks Gaijin for screwing early adopters in favor of people who waited for a discount bundle.
It's all in the matter of waiting to see when discounts appear. It's not Gaijin's fault. They try their best to make their fans happy and they have done so flawlessly in my opinion. I respect your opinion on the matter, I just don't agree with it. Peace be with you. :D
First off, no, it isn't a matter of waiting for discounts to appear. There was absolutely no indication that the collection bundle would include future games as well. Even if I had waited for the bundle there was no way of knowing that this would happen.
I don't have a problem with people getting the same games I got, for less, but much later. That is not the problem here. I have a problem with people who didn't pay for a game, getting it free on launch just because, with absolutely no prior information to indicate that this would occur.
The problem is pretty simple: I went on steam and bought four games. You went on steam and bought the same four games. I got the four games I paid for, you got the four games you paid for. So exactly why are you now entitled to a fifth, or perhaps even sixth game, while I'm stuck with only four? How exactly is that "flawless"
If they had executed their plan "flawlessly" you wouldn't have people, such as me, who essentially own the "collection" but are out of luck because they didn't specifically buy the collection.
This isn't a matter of "opinion." Their failure is not subjective; they have objectively let down some of their most dedicated fans. But thanks for being dismissive and condecending, you giant knob. Of course you have the "opinion" that their decision and execution was "flawless;" you got a free game out of it.
A better solution would have been to repeat what they did with Runner 2 and just distribute coupons, so that everyone is treated equally. I'm well aware that Gaijin doesn't owe me anything, but they sure as hell didn't owe anyone else anything either, and that didn't stop them from creating this mess.
I'm sorry in advance. I didn't really get the exact point you said before and in a way, yes, you couldn't have predicted this to happen, and yes it may seem unfair to someone who bought them individualy, but I believe they did this because people who bought the collection kinda show their love for the series on pc and since they see that, and the money spent on the collection, they thought it would nice to give us the game for free. In essense, we bought the Bit.Trip Collection, not all of the games were on it yet. We bought Bit.Trip Collection on Steam back before Fate was released. When Fate was released, it was added to the collection. Since the database says we own the collection, anything added to it is ours for free. It happens to other game series as well. I'm sorry if you are upset about this, wish I could do something because the Bit.Trip series is something I "worship" so to speak. I'm also sorry if I had offended you in anyway, or if this post doesn't help either. Peace be with you.....I gotta stop saying that. :D
