not everyone is some 30+ year old long-time fan. I got into the series over the summer sale, for example.
but yeah, really being a crybaby otherwise. I don't understand why people always whine about the concept of DLC. Yeah, a lot of it bloats your stats while being somewhat pointless (like every damn costume in the Borderlands games) it gets really annoying - but you can also use it to deliver even more content to a series people love without having to make an entire new game. A lot of indie devs have started doing that (like Risk of Rain 2) and even some triple A devs do it (like that Elden Ring one I keep hearing about, a lot of the Borderlands story DLCs, and the very one we're discussing here).
I do agree that it's kind of annoying most of the time though - for example, when I bought the Handsome Jack collection it inflated my DLC count way higher. Recently bought Pandora's Box and it further inflated my DLC count with a bunch of cosmetics i don't really care about. Tad annoying, but ultimately not that big a deal (most of the time).
"He hehe he, thank you!"
You can't really say that they are now charging for content that was free, because Separate WaysR is not Separate ways, it's a new story mode they developed for RE4R, so it's not the same content. If you think that Separate WaysR should be free you should also argue that RE4R should be free if you already own any version of original RE4, anything else is logically inconsistent.
not to mention that this version would've cost a lot more to develop than the PS2 one, so giving it away for free is kind of dumb.
but i'm sure the reader is asking "but what about the mercenaries?!" - but that released a month later, and as far as i know it's a popular minigame (though i haven't played it). Perhaps it was planned from the start and had to be delayed for whatever reason, and maybe the same happened to Separate Ways.
AGAIN
been trying to do that, but had to stop playing due to the heatwave (and kinda didn't wanna since the 7 WIP achievements have been haunting me since i got the game back in July. Still not sure why Capcom put them on the live branch...)
glhf to both of us lol
nice perfect games list btw
