Most Success in Resident Evil series?

So i played almost many RE game, from 6 to 2-3 Remake. 2-3 Remake was my Fav one's. And later when RE4 Remake came out, first i watched gameplay videos just for checking atmosphere, but before i never played original game of RE4. So after watching gameplay videos, somehow this new RE4 Remake impressed for me:D And later i decided to buy game on sale, and now today i got it. But why i write about "Most Success" series? Because this new RE4 Remake is a different from other RE series, it has a longest gameplay and cool shooting scenes, more weapons and nice graphics! I finished RE6, RE Revolution, RE7, and 2-3 Remake. Comparing with these series of games, I can say that RE4 Remake is something else

I agree 100% Re4 Remake was so good I actually believed it was gonna get game of the year honestly

I don't think it's the most successful in the series. Granted it is probably on pace to eventually take that spot. The best selling Resident Evil game in the series is the Resident Evil 2 remake, followed by Resident Evil 7. And then Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 are roughly tied.

Some people are mad the remakes are a thing, but they're selling well. It reminds me of that Todd Howard quote. 'If You Want Us to Stop Releasing Skyrim Ports, Stop Buying Them'. Which is to say there is a huge consumer demand for these remakes so they are probably going to keep happening even if some consumers don't like that.

I don't know what they expect so many years later, it's never going to be the same game.

If they just put new skins on all the old games, people would be complaining how boring they are. The would be complaining that they already played it for so many years.

Yeah, there is this thin line between remakes and remasters. Remasters obviously being much more controversial imo unless they're functionally just a port for modern hardware.

But people and companies often conflate the two terms. The companies sometimes doing that on purpose because one word is more marketable than the other right now.

the original re4 was regarded by many for a very long time as on of the greatest games ever made. so you could say the remake is good because the source was also good.

all the other remakes were made in RE4s image. original RE games before RE4 are true survival horrors. re4 is survival action.
