I reduced the textures to 1GB and it works great so far... such a great game, but i do hate this became the "industry standard", only in gaming is this common.
Lucky you... i mean, it IS 33 C right now (91 F) with 50% humidity so maaaaybe i shouldn't play right now... thankfully it works now.
What i noticed is that a lot of the settings BARELY impact image quality... diminished returns and all that but, honestly, some settings can barely be SEEN on a still image, its kinda hilarious that the game is that demanding.
It always crashed in those tunnels where you have to freeze the creature and run to the elevator no idea why there.
My solution was when I closed my overclock software msi afterburner, it has not crashed for many days since!
i hope this helps
Thanks bro, thankfully it hasn't crashed since. Now all i have to do is wait until it is cool enough for me to play it is so hot i keep sweating.
It really is a great game and the RE remake games are FANTASTIC - RE2 would be my favorite if only that hat dude was out of the game, he is so tiresome on different replays... RE4 is peak comfy though.
I wanted to buy Dragons Dogma 2 since i heard it uses the same engine for RE4 but apparently it still has huge performance issues.
I still don't get why their engine is so unstable...
