Has the Luis lab key glitch been fixed yet?
It's been about a month and I want to play this game again, but I was softlocked at this part, anyone know?

To actually answer the question unlike Moogal.

Yes it has been fixed. Capcom is just very ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with proper patch notes.

Did you even look at the link they posted?
It only happened under very specific circumstances so the majority never had that happen to them.

I could read the info. But i will tell you my view of the situation. Tell me if i'm wrong. Players should keep extra saves to avoid these kinds of bugs and if they don't it is really their fault. If that wasn't possible then i guess you are right. But i can't see how a bug can "softlock" a game like OP said. It seems to stretch the very foundations of how games work. I remember a bug in Village where an item was missing and it was easily solvable by reloading an earlier save.

Way to put the blame on the consumer.
A bug that can literally lock you from beating the game should simply not exist. Especially when the game has challanges where you have to use limited saves.

Regardless of having multiple saves, this should just not happen. Period.

I remember a bug in Arkham Origins where entering a room you needed to use the vent to get out from would break so Batman couldn't climb up into the vent. It was never completely fixed and it WILL break your game because it auto saves in that room.

Another ridiculous moogal take. So a bug that leads to literally softlocking the game is somehow a player's fault. Talk about bootlicking.

I fell through the floor in Jedi Fallen Order. My fault for standing on the floor, I guess.

Fallout 3 crashed my 360 back in the day. My fault for playing the game, I suppose.

It is the developer's responsibility to make sure their game works.

Yes you're wrong.

You deny that it's a bug and then confirm that it's a bug that it's the player's responsibility to avoid. I mean sure having separate saves is important to have, but it's still a bug. Kinda pointless to play the devil's advocate here
