Why is Leon's RPD outfit not in the game?
There is no excuse, they already have the assets from RE2 remake...:LeonRE4:

there's a mod for it but Leon's casual outfit is a great alternative, its amazing!

I wouldn't have been suprised if they made it a DLC but its straight up not available.

Its running on the same engine as RE2 remake the file is already so idk why they never just ported it over.

There is a mod as the person above me said.

Because spoiler alert

Raccoon City and that city's Police Department is no more. No reason to wear a uniform of a Police Department that no longer exists

I have completed original RE4 multiple times but been a while that I forgot about the unlockables. Regardless, my point still stands. There are many outfits for Leon and they may have finally realized an RPD outfit wouldn't make sense this time around.

He literally left Racoon City with the outfit so he would have had it. It makes more sense then pin stripe gangster suit with scarf but that made it in. They kept so much of the original intact but left an iconic unlock out for no good reason. you are probably farming clown awards. please explain how any of the unlock outfits "make sense" more then the RPD outfit.

Ok, I'll give you point that the other outfits probably do not make any more sense. But there are good why's for why they didn't include it: such as it being 6 years since the events, Leon said he wanted to forget about the nightmare of raccoon city, he doesn't have any reason to wear it anymore, and that outfit isn't really all that interesting for many people and they wanted new outfits for leon that would stand out (instead of just wearing what he wore in a previous game).

the "evil" and "hero" doesn't make sense. The full armored alchemist.. i mean Ashly makes less sense. at least Leon would have actually owned the RPD outfit. also it was the FIRST cosmetic unlock in the original, has assets already unlike OG RE4 that took the time to make it because Capcom knew ppl wanted it. the whole "they wanted new outfits" argument does't stand when it would cost nothing to add it and ppl want it.

Hero and Villain are for the players to be able to mod their characters with the unlockables bonuses

Spoiler!

After beating Seperate Ways, you can unlock Ada's RE2 undercover skin. Why the heck did Capcom put RE2 Ada but not RE2 RPD Leon. WTF CAPCOM???
Salfaden Sep 21, 2023 @ 11:59pm
So, with the new update, they added the RPD outfit officially, not a mod, you need to get S++ rank in Mercenaries with all characters to unlock it.

And there's no reason for him to put on a supervillain costume, but yet...
Look at the dlc costumes. They're not to be taken too seriously, and some people just really like the RPD outfit.
