Change my mind. Original Luis i actually had respect for, he was cool not annoying not going on tangents about pointless sh!t while Leon is fighting for his life. No he was killed off in a much cooler way in the original. Here he is just killed by another human. Stabbed in the back if i remember correctly. Only line of him I thought was bad was the one about being quite the ladies' man; it felt forced, out of place and just shoved in somewhere randomly for the only reason that he said something similar in the original somewhere. Other than that, I appreciated getting a bit more time with him this time as his death in the original came too early for him to actually matter in the story. Not that he does and tells that much more in the remake, but it helps. (Being surprise killed by Krauser seems like a bad choice, though.)

People who start these "change my mind" threads almost never have any intention of having their mind changed. They argue in bad faith and case in point:

You say the new Luis never gives you a straight up answer, but he does on the elevator to the Krauser fight when Leon outright tells him to be straight with him for once. OG Luis doesn't give you a straight up answer. He tells you that it "makes him feel better and to leave it at that" and then they actually leave it at that. All of this is on top of the fact that you want new Luis to stfu and maybe he would still be alive.

So which is it? You want him to be straight with you or you want him to stfu? Can't have both. There's also nothing that says I can't go and be like "if OG Luis has shut the hell up and paid attention, he would probably still be alive" because he talked and left himself open, just like new Luis.
