Does the golden egg trick on Salazar still work?

I hit Salazar with the golden eggs and he just flinches. Was it a glitch that got patched? Anyone else notice this?

Throwing the first one is tricky.

As others said, it is just a bit tricky and you have to hit him just right. It is a lore based trick and thus definitely not a "glitch" that will be patched so you are safe. I recommend simply saving before him due to this as one of your expected save counts in an S+ run in case you miss.

Just right when the fight starts and he gets close to you you have to throw it right into his face.

Directly. You can do it immediately upon entering the fight, when he darts off to the right.

I would throw it after knocking him down first. You need a few extra shots anyway so why not do things in reverse.
