Playstation button prompts instead of Xbox

I get the X instead of the A, which is really confusing when learning the controls for the game. Kind of adapted mentally after a while but I'm wondering why are the controller button promts and overall interface automatically mapped to PS controller when I use a Xbox controller in this game but not in games that have 1% of its budget.

Set to Type B for Xbox controls
