YOUR HARDEST CHAPTER ON PROFESSIONAL DIFFICULTY?
For me chapter 15 is by far the hardest chapter, such a long run without save , so many enemies , rocket launchers, you run out of ammo for fun. I've been trying for 3 hours straight , no luck for me

Is it like the OG where Mike no longer kills the Ganados?

Chapter 15 can be made a bit easier if you know about the 2 heavy grenades skip/trick, you can throw 2 heavies up where the AA gun is and destroy it without having to run all the way up and back down to destroy it with the gun.

It's hard to pick one, but I would definitely say Chapter 1 with the Village fight and Chapter 5 Cabin are pretty good contenders towards being at the top for Professional NG (no bonus weapons), since it's in that weird spot of not having much weaponry at all while still having extremely sturdy enemies, but the cabin fight does get quite a lot easier when you just camp on the 2nd floor as soon as it starts. There is also the chapter with the double Garrador room which can just be super chaotic at times.

Ah yeah, Double Garrador and Cabin are definitely some of the bigger roadblocks

I would say that getting the S+ ranks on Pro is gonna rely a lot on Chicago, due to not only being a strong weapon but having Infinite Ammo exclusive, which solves the ammo problem.

I struggled alot.. I mean A LOT with village gigante, I forgot the chapter he is in. I had to learn how to aim it without mistakes with the BAR.. which is not really consistent for me. Dodging that sucker is incredibly hard.. being low on heals. It's tough.

Having rifle on that stage makes the fight a lot easier. 2-3 shotgun to the head to reveal the plaga, and 1 rifle shot (assuming you've upgraded your damage) to the plaga instantly downs him

He still kills them but you want to pass through ASAP if speedrunning and he is kind of slow...

My recommendation > immediately flash or grenade them at start when they get to stairs (wait before stairs where you very first start). Run behind them and rifle/riot gun, or if you are going magnum route use that. Kill them in about 2-3 grenade/flash and in like 10-20 seconds.

Cabin is yeah, still a bit of effort.

For me I don't like Ramon for speedrunning pro purposes because the egg's hit detection on him is very finnicky if using that method. The boss also has what I'd consider pretty clear glitches where it skips animation/delays and will instantly charge or shoot in some occasions I've seen in both runs that are physically impossible to dodge. He is suppose to have some animations before his actions but does not always commit them and the issue while not super common occurs at least a few times per fight (1-2 at least) unless you instant kill via gold egg >shoot/stab/rocket methods which isn't solving the issue but outright bypassing its existence.

You don't flash them BEFORE shooting them, you ring the bell, shoot them both in the back, and throw 2 flashbangs, there you go, both dead at the same time

Weirdly, I found that skip actually made it significantly harder.

If you do that then Mike doesn't thin out the huge amount of enemies who will then swarm you. The only way I got through Chapter 15 was to do that bit properly.

If you've been quick in other places then you should have some time to spare by that stage.

You can use the AA gun skip and still have Mike clear the enemies, you just have to stay near the bridge for a short time after blowing it up. The next cutscene doesn't trigger until you start heading up the stairs towards the gate if you skipped, and until then he'll keep shooting. Assuming you're using the typewriter, you can help out and clear nearly the whole area in under a minute with him, then advance and trigger the "I'm out of ammo" part and only have the couple guys that spawn then to deal with.

Cabin was pretty rough

I've done it with one grenade, think it can be any, if you go around and behind the building of the turret, and toss it right in on top of the turret.

5 and 6 are crazy hard on a S+ playthrough, you will be strapped for resources and not have access to infinite ammo chicago yet, and you get the insane triple whammy of dog miniboss (for the spinels) > the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CABIN > bella sisters.

That stretch is miserable.

I have completed professional S+ without armored ashley and infinite chicago sweeper.

For me it was

Village: Canyon, Cabin Fight: Area before Bella Sisters, and Bella Sisters themselves.

Castle: Water Hall, Double Garrador Room, and Salazar.

Island: War Zone with Mike.

I had so many resets because of these areas.

I've only done NG+ Professional so I can't comment on a fresh run but holy ♥♥♥♥ Chapter 15 has me banging my head against the table, the rest of the game has been fairly challenging but nothing too bad but man oh man 15 is just kicking my ass, did the skip and I've gotten to the end twice when I just get one shot by dynamite which I wasn't even aware could happen. I am DREADING that part when I eventually attempt an S+ Rank.
