Anyone else find NG+ boring?
It feels like NG+ could do with additional bosses or some sort of extra enhanced difficulty. As it is, having all weapons upgraded makes things too easy unless you run around shooting everything with the bolt thrower. Right now it feels like something you play on whenever you want to godmode through the game, and you're better off starting a new game and selling whatever bonus weapon you don't want to use.

Complaining about non issues, just play professional.

I enjoy it even more I resell and rebuy some weapon to test different combination and gameplay style without having them maxed

Playing on professional doesn't make NG+ any harder, it just means you need to try a little harder to parry. You will still rocket launcher any big threat and have loads of ammo for everything.

I guess it IS a non issue. There's no real way to balance a NG+ given what the player is capable of and my conclusion is the game simply isn't made for it. It's fan service and/or sandbox mode where you customize your experience however you want.

I just mod the game, put ada on Leon shoes, Use TMP with stock. To spice up things, I suppose while doing fetch quest.

The game is inherently fun, almost as fun to play as the original, and the pacing is god-tier. I had no trouble playing it about 10 times back to back since it came out, despite my issues with the higher difficulty balance/combat mechanics.
I don't even need the carrots on the sticks, I just find the game fun to replay. Try going for the S+ ranks and see if you still find it easy.

That's professional

That's kind of the point of NG+, and why they made it so you can never get S+ ranking when doing a NG+ playthrough, it's basically meant to be a victory lap for fun and for some other things like challenges/achievements that don't involve rankings/needing to be on a NG file like the Handcannon

I'd dare say it's a little more fun than the original. Like, I just watched Seperate Ways on Youtube and it aged a lot harder than I remembered. I was really skeptic about the remake, wanted CV done first, but it kinda worked out fine. New Game+ is just developer sponsored cheating in most games that have one. The souls games are the rare exception.

Isn't that the whole point of NG for RE games since PS 1 era? To unlock infinite ammo and breeze through the game was a reward in itself and added for more replay value to a lot of fans.

I would agree adding in new bosses would have been an awesome thing to do sure, but that's a lot more work and I don't know what they could even add in given the game's pacing is already really good.

I do miss the U3 boss though. The design alone was terrifying even if it didn't really match the game very well.

If you first played on assisted or standard, and then do a ng+ on hardcore or pro, you will see more enemies in new places.

Some actually are really good. Placement and timing

I don't find the game easy, I think it's very well-balanced and challenging. Just a bit of buyer's remorse after getting the infinite rocket launcher since I feel that save is now more or less finished.

I never get bored of the NG+ in these types of games because of all the different challenge runs you can try once you beat the game.

I mean, that's kind of the point of NG+, or always has been in Resident Evil games. Its just more or less your completion run or victory lap at that point. NG+ does offer at least ONE unique thing to it though, being you can skip the village survival/fight section by shooting the church bell with a sniper rifle, or infinite RPG, something you can only have at that point in NG+.

Realistically, if you want to play and keep the challenge just start a new save. Lets you work towards new rewards too that will, ultimately, also break the game and turn it into a power fantasy and victory lap ultimately, but you don't HAVE to use those things. If you want to try something truly challenging, try No Merchant Professional difficulty on a new save, its pretty wild. Also doing minimalist and frugalist at the same time is pretty challenging, though really, frugalist is a bit challenging regardless.

Edit: Also worth noting, while a knife run is probably possible WITHOUT infinite durability, it becomes a lot more feasible once you acquire one, and is something you could shoot for setting up and doing on a NG+ save.

I dunno, I can find NG+ sometimes fun. Try CQBR maxed only, no scope, cat ears, pro mode and attempt it with no heals. Seems like a pretty fun challenge to me.

So in reality it's not the difficulty .. it's the infinite rocket launcher issue. Easy fix would be not use it. That thing actually makes all the runs kinda boring. As some sort of revenge run it's fun ... but for average use ? No. That thing belongs to the storage.

my guy:

the unlocks for the majority of items is from doing new game runs.

come back once you s+ everything (has to be done from new game) and have unlocked everything.
