set hair strands to off read why

don't use the hair strands setting you get lower fps and it looks worse than the off setting trust me there is weird shadow artifacting no contact shadows from the hair meaning no shadows from the hair and lower geometric detail and less hair physics it also does not react to rain it does not get wet it's bone dry and it has weird and incorrect shading example it's waaaay to bright compared to the light in the environment keep in mind if you try and test the contact shadows from the hair it's not all light that casts contact shadows for some reason but anyway hair strands NOT worth it
i posted some side by side screenshots down in the comments showing how the hair strands setting looks worse than the off setting

Looks completely normal with all bells and whistles turned up.

I will play with it all on since I still get locked 120 FPS maxed out at 1440P on my RX 6900 XT

RT does nothing for the the Hair strand setting what exactly do you think the RT setting does in this game please do tell cause it seems like you have no clue also i will post some screenshots tomorrow so you can see with your own eyes what i mean about the hair strand setting being a downgrade and even if you get 120 fps it's stil a downgrade !

Nope wrong i play at 1440p with resolution scaling set to 140% so if I where to guess its around 1800p so pretty close to 4k also having a higher resolution does not magically fix the hair strands setting its stil worse than the off setting

here you can see the side by side screenshots i took it shows the missing hair shadows to bright hair while in shadow and no wet shader effect while raining and also how the wind blows his hair because the hair setting set to off has hair physics and also missing water drops hitting the hair from the hair strands setting so as you can see compared to the off setting the hair strands setting is broken and looks worse than when you have it set to off

Yeah i agree with Strider, hair strands off for me, im running 4090 OC 150% scaling 4k with everything max other than motion blur and DoF.

Even Alex from Digital Foundry demonstrated the bad hair strand in this game. And it does look like wig with it on lol
