verdugo fight questions.
So i am playing veteran difficulty. The hardest one available from an entirely new game.

I am at the verdugo bossfight. I want to kill that dude but he is somehow incredible beefy.

I am freezing him with cryo. I unload my magnum into him. 11 rounds with 21 dmg.

I use my crowsbow with 6 explosiv mines. Roundabout 24 shells from the riot gun max upgrade without special perk.

Using my big grenade and my small grenade and my stun grenade.

Then somewhat around 40 pistol rounds basicly i am unloading my whole inventory on him and he just doesen't die.

Am i missing something? Is he just that incredible beefy or am i doing something wrong?
I aim for the head btw. i would say atleast 70% of those hits are headshots.

----------------------------------------------------

NVM problem solved. A restart of the game fixed the issue. He went down easaly after it.
In case you stumble into this issue try to restart the game. Dunno what caused it but it was definatly a bug or so. I killed him after the restart with much much less used ammo.

Nothing to argue about, no reason for you to add to it, no reason for OP to keep arguing as if they were attacked.
Not everything is an attack, only bc it questions something.

There is no lack of implication. I made it 100% crystal clear.

No you did not, if that was the case, I wouldn't have felt the desire to have it clarify in order to help you. Stop arguing and acting like a small-minded child. This is not a fight. I tried to help you with info and wanted clarification on something and you start to act like this.

yeah was thinking the same. I was shooting and shooting at him but he didnt died so i just run to the elevator :)

On standard difficulty, I can confirm that three freezes and a bunch of damage from the magnum and shotgun will take him out really easily.

On hardcore, probably more damage needed.
Hash Apr 3, 2023 @ 12:07pm
On that same note: I simply left my magnum at the typewriter and probably for that reason alone didn't have enough ammo on me to take him out on hardcore. No biggie though. Outrunning him is more efficient.

I restarted the game and fought him again and killed him easaly. 3 times freezed him 5 magnum rounds and something about 18 shells.

So ya it was definatly some wierd bug. I thought so cause i think it was just unlikly that he can tank my entire inventory.

Do you know the meaning of the word "entirely"? If that is not an the case then i am entirely aware what the problem is. You should google the meaning of it so you are also entirely aware of this situation. Never to late to appologize.

Strong people can say sorry. Weak people will pretend they are not at fault for there mistake and blame others.

Rocket Launcher and grenades seem most effective. Riot Gun did well in hardcore for me as the only dmg option but mine had used exclusive ticket + lv 5 dmg. I don't know for sure but he might take more dmg while frozen so it might be best to mainly hit him while frozen then dash to the next freeze point rather than dealing with his normal armor. Further, he might take heavily reduced dmg everywhere but face (esp when unfrozen) though I cannot confirm this point but after testing BB fully maxed on him in professional I deemed anything but rocket in Professional a total waste of resources on this guy unlike hardcore.

do you have to freeze him to kill him with a rocket launcher? theres a challenge to kill him without even freezing him
BaLuX Apr 3, 2023 @ 1:36pm
I did beat him on my first run which was on hardcore. What I did was to freeze him then shoot him on his head as much as possible and then meleed him before the freeze went out.

I needed 4 or 5 (?) nitrogen tanks.

I can't remember how much ammo I needed, but I needed several rifle rounds and magnum rounds. The rifle I used was the SR M1903 rifle and the magnum was the Broken Butterfly. I am pretty sure that both of them had maxed out damage at that time (Full upgrades on the rifle + used an exclusive ticket on BB). I also unloaded a few grenades on him iirc.

You are making a discussion and argument out of someone simply wanting clarification on the ambiguity of your words based on your lack of language proficiency and now keep going rattling about meaning of words? M8, learn the english language before trying to go further on nonsense of that sort. Noone harmed you, noone attacked you. You are acting like a snowflake child. Someone simply tried to give you information to help and you react like this? Shameful honestly

This is how to beat him unless you bought an RPG.

He does have a lot of health, and one more shower would definitely make the fight easier, most people fall just short of killing him with the showers available.

Shower him, use the melee prompt, and unload your highest-dmg weapons into his head, as long as he visually still has some freeze on him. Grenades, magnums, shotguns, then rifle, if handgun is needed you better hope he doesn't have a lot left. Make sure you don't miss him either, because the broken butterfly might be strong but the crosshair is wide and any stray bullet is zero damage.

Wait how did you get 5 ? I tried to re-use them but they were permanently turned off

Well apparently they're 4 but I wasn't sure (hence the question mark).
