Was Hunningan done wrong in this remake?

It feels like she has less communication with Leon overall and essentially nothing in the second half of the game. I think there was a transmission from her towards the end of the original game and there is nothing here. Am I remembering incorrectly or is this true?

Who cares. She is just dumping annoying infos at me and so far was never helpful at all.

Since i do not remember a single line from her of the original i think she was pretty useless back then as well.

Then you remember incorrectly, she is basically a complete non-character for 90% of the OG. Her only major scenes prior to the Island section is when she meets Leon outside the hedge maze basically just to say "hi, I'm also here and working for Wesker" before leaving, and at the very end of the Castle to pick up Leon in a boat to give him a ride to the Island, which she does in complete silence before saying "bye" and leaving again. It's only in the last 2 or 3 levels where she actually does anything.

Wrong character, but sentiment is similar. She's barely there even in the original. Doesn't the communication get cut off in the Castle in OG too?
