Someone in another thread mentioning Leon start with 1500 health, maxed at 2500 health according to data miner. it looks to me that G+R+Y should be increasing health by about 100, R+Y by 80, G+G+Y by 60, G+Y by 40

Depends on what you mix the yellow herbs with.
Apparently not all of them will give the same amount and G/R/Y is the best mix.

I haven't tested it because I've always used the G/R/Y combo in RE games.

I managed to max out my health during the first gameplay, so for the other new games + the yellow herb becomes pretty much irrelevant, no?
I used it through the second gameplay only as a habit, it didn't increase the health anyhow.

Not irrelevant, because, afaik, G+R+Y heals full health, while G+R heals only a large portion of health. Like, when you have maxed out your health limit and currently near death, G+R will not heal you fully, but G+R+Y will.

oh I see, thanks, so just the benefit of better healing effect, just no longer increasing the total health when maxed during the first gameplay. Also I saw that the Rhinoceros beetle increases total health, so I guess once maxed out it's just for selling (with Rhino charm equipped for 20 000)

You can also pretty easily stockpile huge numbers of first aid sprays in the typewriter storage and just sell the gry herbs with the charm that increases sell price. They're like 20k each with that.
