i agree, resident evil 5 is pretty damned solid to play still. i think outbreak would be the best option moving forward.

The only thing RE5 would love to have would be the more free movement.
Other than that I agree that RE5 really doesn't warrant let alone need a remake.

Also... Code Veronica.. eh. I never liked that one. Outbreak never really took off, so I doubt Capcom would care. Can't judge that one, never played it.

IMO they can stop with remakes for now and focus on making a reallly outstanding RE9.

I still remember the day it came out. Feels like yesterday. It's too early for that. The graphics was very ahead of 2009. Both gameplay and graphics still hold up to this day. The multiplayer is very enjoyable as well and still has some loyal players.

I'm not saying I hate seeing a remake, I'm just saying it's unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Sure if all you care about is coop and score attack type games, a remake though is a way to give RE fans a decent RE experience with 5 this time round.

No they werent't, Gears of War and Gears of War 2 had better visuals, Killzone 2 had better visuals. And the visuals in Crysis and Far Cry 2 blow RE5 out of the water.

The main thing to do now is a new remake of RE1 on the new engine. It's the inventor of survival horror. Don't say it's already been remade, because that's wrong. The PC version released a few years ago was just the remastered GameCube version and not a remake. Remove fixed camera angles, remove outdated gameplay and recreate it as carefully as the RE4 remake.

I'd be interested in seeing if they maintain the boulder punching or how the Wesker fight as a whole would play out in the remake.
