Opinions on the regeneradors? (Frustrating, too hard, perfect?)
I think they're the most frustrating enemy in the game, especially when they reanimate with the spikes. They are much more slippery and faster than in the original, and when they crawl towards you it's very hard to kill them. With rifle ammo being scarce, it makes it especially annoying in later segments where they chase you around without you being able to eliminate them. It seems like it takes about 5 accurate rifle shots to kill them. I mainly found them frustrating in that one segment in chapter 13, where you have to turn the valve, I wanted to clarify that. Opinions?

I chose to do my knife+pistol only run on hardcore cause I needed to unlock the armor for Ashley. I forgot to consider how hard it would be dealing with regeneradors...

By using an M4A1 CQBR with the thermal scope, i was able to destroy one weak point with one bullet, so it seems fair to me

Wow you actually use that weapon? I don't because it takes rifle ammo while being an AR.

I don’t like them, the skinnier ones from the original are scarier. The ones in this one seem more funny

Rifle cartridge can be as small as 5.56, some AR also design around 7.62 which is the popular choice of catridge for sniper rifle. Some world war veterans also use 15mm scoped auto cannon as sniper, since the bullet velocity is fast with even wider effective range than the common 7.62 sniper.

Thanks for the information, but I was just referring to the game, not the realism of it.

I used it a lil bit with infinite ammo. That thing absolutely shreds.. and is probably the strongest dps weapon in the game. Without infinite ammo I can imagine it having it's uses for dealing with problematic areas. Ofc only if you dont use rifles much to stockpile the ammo for it lol.

Oh yeah, I can imagine it being good with that. That means you already unlocked the cat ears? Seems hard to get that.

Yes. It's managable with infinite ammo sweeper and some speedrun strats. After learning the village inside out with consistent strats for village defense, gigante, cabin and bella sisters.. the run is pretty much free.

They are fine.

with thermal scope, any weapon and (you guessed it) skill - regeneradors are annoying at the most. otherwise they are manageable. coming from a guy who beat the game in HC first blind run.

sucks that they can throw themselves on the floor and crawl their way to you, sometimes even skipping solid objects =(
