I like the normal regeneradors.. creepy design but ♥♥♥♥ to fight. I nowadays just blast legs and run. For the one mendatory kill... spam the LE5 or any sniper against it and done. Stuff gets chaotic if you don't manage to kill the incoming waves of enemies while your card id updating tho.
After getting Ashley.. the next area after the merchant is the elevator door/wreckingball/trash area. The door to the final elevator can be opened with the door glitch. Resulting in the best skip of the game.

The trick is to start shooting them before they start moving.
The first two you meet before picking up the special scope are problematic because they're already on you, so yeah. Stunning them is better.
The four in the freezer-room don't become active until you trigger them, so you can kill them while they're immobile (Pick up the scope, look for the parasites through the window and kill them before they move).
The iron maiden in the sewer can also be shot a couple times before it becomes active. This will win you some time.
Then you have the two iron maidens in the final stretch of the game, unfortunately I didn't have the scope on me so I had to sneak around the wiggling bags and haul my ass through the door.
It really is. Because I also hate the iron maiden part. It's just tedious and that skip made the island section so much more enjoyable for me.. it's awesome.
The last part with the bags isn't that bad once you know that they are in it. The very first time however was nightmare inducing. Didnt expect them in there.
