Killer 7 vs Broken Butterfly, discuss.
Assuming both fully upgraded.

I can see that the BB is unmatched power except for the rocket launcher, that does not count, but it's aim is awful and it takes ages to focus, on top of even the max focus being quite awful.

Killer 7 has the laser sight built in, so accuracy is flawless but 50% weaker shots is ALOT when talking about magnum damage and how much that actually means, and 5x crit rate, at least from gut feeling, seems kinda redundant on a magnum that your mainly using to down bosses or special mobs (Salvador / Bullheads).


On one hand relying on RNG to benefit from the exclusive upgrade feels bad, but on the other the laser sight alone means I can use it at much longer range and assuming competence, never waste a shot like I do with the BB.

What do you lot pick between these two? perhaps the answer is so obvious it's not even a choice and the pros are laughing that i'm even asking the question.

Inventory space I suppose also counts in favor of killer 7, although I find inventory is not such a problem in this game for me.

Killer 7 the damage is made up in the second shot and doesn't have to be used like a shotgun when you want to be quick

Broken Butterfly for style points, Killer 7 for general ease of use. Overall I prefer the BB, but then I also prefer the BAR to the semi-auto rifle. Have done since I first played the OG RE4

I like the BAR because it acts like a budget killer 7, damage is wonderfully high for how much easier rifle ammo is to come by than magnum.

Stingray is situationally better, it's my favourite weapon to kill the regeneradors with, it's also better for using against general enemies but overusing rifle ammo for the standard swarms feels so wasteful.

Broken Butterfly 27 x 1.5 = 40.5 is about 30.8% more damage than Killer7 28.0

It takes BB at least three shots on hit to compensate one missed shot

BB has a problem that, it un-focus the aim immediately when moving or readjust the aim for long range target. More of close to medium range powerhouse. Not worth the time to wait for focus aim.

Except ng+ and bonus weapons, BB is confirmed to be top dps. Not even Matilda, Striker, CQBR and TMP can beat it.

In term of full upgrade cost, BB win against Killer7. Non full upgrade cost, firepower only upgrade + exclusive ticket, BB cost even cheaper than Killer7 with BB 158K vs Killer7 220k.

BB has 30% sales early game and free magnum ammo recipe. Killer7 sales is very late in the game (according to someone else source, sales at chapter 15)

I'm not going to advise people to pick which one. You have to aware each's weakness and find a way to survive the day.

Why the BB have that awful aim? I cant hit ♥♥♥♥ with that. I use like shogun lol, só killers 7 at last you can hit things...

The BB is not made for hitting weakspots. That's why it has such high raw damage.
The Killer7 reflects that in its exclusive upgrade (5x crit), as it favors hitting weakspots.

I imagine the BB is balanced that way here because it is just such a dump truck when it comes to damage. Part of the reason I love it so much. Is it more practical to use a Killer 7 and Stingray over the BB and BAR respectively? Probably, yeah. But the BB and BAR are pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ neato I think, if not very practical

I think the BAR can easily have arguments being made for it being more practical.

Damage on standard enemies with stingray is overkill anyway, so going more overkill is just the same 1 bullet used, popping off multiple archers very fast is nice, but the BAR can do everything the Stingray can, just slower with more power, the rate of fire upgrade on the Stingray definitely has it's uses, but it's not hard to fit the BAR into the same role.

Does Killer7 exclusive upgrade do anything in case of damage? If not, BB wins. But either way Killer7 is much easier to use with the ability of aiming and instantly having pinpoint accuracy. Therefore your soul won't die by missing precious magnum bullets.

5x Critical rate like the Silver Ghost.

it's just with the BB, you don't need a crit.

I lean towards shooting them twice with Killer7 than once with BB though

Killer 7, the broken butterfly was completely nerfed to the ground and is useless. Not sure what they were thinking when they nerfed the reload animation to look boring as ♥♥♥♥ which was half the reason to use it in the original.

Well i think i got 2 mangnum ammo drops in the whole game, i sold the BB to buy the killer 7 just for the ammo on my first playthrough so yeah. Its kind of useless after that first purchase.

yeah the reload is kinda worse on BB? The whole point is style!

But on the other hand its still a revolver!

On the other other hand the Killer7 is not only named after Killer 7 but it comes with a built in laser sight!

BB

the onyl reason to use the K7 og was worth it was buying the capacity upgrades which you used alongside BB

without those extra magic bullets it goes in the dumpster
