FPS Locked at 40+
I've read through the troubleshooting post and saw that many people were having performance issues. The issue I'm having is weird. Whenever I play the game, the FPS cannot go over 40 at all. It's honestly insufferable to play the game like this. I found out that whenever I restarted my computer and then launched the game right away, I'm able to play at 120 fps, but that only lasts for a couple of minutes. Then the game is just back to normal again. I even tried installing the DLSS mod, but that didn't work either. Anyone been having this issue? IS there any possible way to fix it?

Specs:
GPU: RTX 3070 Ti 8GB
CPU: Intel i712700H
Ram: 32GB DDR4
Storage: 1TB SSD

Drivers are all up to date. Graphics options were tweaked around as much as possible, but there was no improvement.

I'm on chapter 9 and haven't seen this behavior at all (13600K / 3060 Ti / 32GB)

Sounds like something is thermal throttling have you checked CPU & GPU temps while playing the game, GPU-Z shows temps for both in the Sensors tab.

Download MSI Afterburner with Riva and keep the stats in the background. Pay attention to your temps and usage when you have 120 fps and then compare the results to when the frames go down to 40s. Since it's a laptop I'd be willing to immediately guess it's thermal throttling, but hard to say with the specs alone.

I'd imagine if it were thermal throttling, this behavior would also happen to all other games right? If so, then I'm pretty sure that's not the case. I play a lot of demanding games and honestly they all worked just fine. It's just this game that's not working as I expected.
