^ That mod gives you a variety of options for FOV, free camera, etc. including ultra wide support. Super easy to install - don't even need a mod manager, just drop the file into your install folder. I have been playing with it today and so far works great, just needed to adjust the FOV a bit as the default settings are a bit too close for my taste (but work well if you want to closely replicate the OG game).
Get a standardized aspect ratio or get used to fixing things.
