you can sue her to block projectiles and get easy knife kills on enemies
plagas enmeis cannot pick up ashley and you can block doors with her being downes in front of them
best example the Lever drop down room in the castle for the snake head
make ashleyx get hurt and let her get picked up
kill the guy when he goes up the staiors in front of the jail door
enemies now cant pass throught he door ashley blocks them and all enemies will have plagas because of the red zealot
sorry for typos am at work my main keyboard is udner my desk cant reach it comfortable
Every decision made regarding her was bad (aside from not pandering to the hobbits who needed panties) culminating in the idiocy that is that Mendez chase scene.
Edit: Which is likely my stopping point on professional. My patience ends with trying to escort her bumbling excuse for AI through that mess.
Nah, not pandering to my needing her panties for aesthetic purposes was also a bad decision.
There's only 2 sections Ashley can be put into lockers in the remake (that I can recall), but the original had dumpsters you could hide Ashley in for most encounters. So I think the intention this time was for the player to run past most of the enemies rather than hide Ashley and clear the entire area before continuing forward. The fact that she doesn't have a health bar this time makes it incredibly easy to abuse the enemy AI and force them to focus on her while you pick them off. A little bit of creativity can go a long way.
At the end of the day, it really just comes down to a skill issue.
The only thing worse for Ashley is that you can't tell her to stay put. Other then that, she's better in every regard. She doesn't need yellow herbs, she actually will help you out at times, she isn't cringe as ♥♥♥♥, and her VA is much better.

I alt f4 and stared at my bedroom ceiling for a good 2 minutes just questioning the entire universe
Puzzles in this game are pretty... Simple and fun. (I don't think Ashley ever tried help but once and it was too late, I figured out the pattern but she was mid conversation while I was solving.
Anyway, Ashley can just be the DAMSEL at the end... You do realize she doesn't need to be escorted right? (Snark for snark.)
There's no need to escort, get kidnapped again, rescue, escort, get kidnapped again, rescue and kidnapped again...
Just have her kidnapped the entire game but alive - Continuity is preserved and a better straight-forward action game.
For all the rest talking about AIM and strategy, i did not say its hard to keep her alive/safe... My point is, its boring and its easy to cheese, and why have her in the way at all? It doesn't really add for fun mechanics... Just keep her out of the game until the end.
Not necessarily a better action game, just a simpler, more mindless one. Besides, you miss out on their characters a lot if you do this.
