striker sucks

The spread on this thing is insane its absolutely useless against bosses/mini bosses. Bought my riot gun back and upgraded it.

I did the same. Although, it's useful for crowd control. Basically any shotty will do to take down the wooden shields of some of the enemies. My play style has me using mainly a Red 9 and Stingray (although, I might revert back to the bolt action sniper rifle due to it having more damage per shot)

The rifle that you can buy at the beginning? I never bought it, seemed super weak unless it gives high crits or something.

Fully upgraded the Stingray does about 15 damage per shot when aiming at weakpoints while the bolt action does about 30 damage per shot aiming at weakpoints. So the bolt action does a lot more damage but the Stingray fires way faster. If you want to save ammo or have the most efficient damage per shot then the bolt action is better. But the stingray has more DPS.

I was using Skull Shaker until Verdugo. It was decent and took a small space. But I needed something better to kill Verdugo. Same as you, tried Striker and didn't like it. So I loaded the last save and bought Riot Gun instead.

Striker is a body shot weapon. The spread is too much to crit hit anything reliably. Meaning you have to unload into enemies at point blank. Not my type of weapon.

Highest dps out of all rifles.
Only magnums rival it.

If you need precision use a rifle. Skul Smasher is the ♥♥♥♥ off shotgun. Bolt action and Killer7 are the boss slayers.
