Professional is not good
Sup, so I started playing professional ng and it is not fun at all. I am at the castle right now and the balance is not great. In the og you had to have skill. In this it seems kinda more luck thank skill. Enemies do not get staggered enough, parrying is hard when there is more than one enemies to focus on, I get sandwiched multiple times and can not do anyhing. When I stagger and kick an enemit one from behind or the side comes to me and hits me whiel I am out of the animation and I can not do anything about it. It is really frustrating and not fun, it feels like I am not in controll and just have to hope for good luck. Is that only me ?

I've been doing new game + pro. It's actually been pretty enjoyable but some sections were tough. I'm a 3rd of the way through the castle and it's been pretty fine to be honest? I don't know how it'll be on a completely raw new game though.

PS: The hardest thing seems to be learning to parry, hardcore seemed really fair with them but pro requires a lot more timing under pressure.

It's not about luck, OP. It's RE3make all over again, Professional is balanced around you having infinite rocket launcher.

Lol the final nemesis fight expects you to have that on inferno difficulty

speaking of which, whats the point of unlocking anything else after the unlimited rocket launcher. That thing kills everything one shot. Unlimited magnum might of been better if rocket launcher had a reload animation

3 round burst pistol > Rocketlauncher on that last nemesis fight
Been playing on Pro as well. Game is fantastically balanced in its difficulty. Its VERY hard though. You need your placement DOWN. If you're letting them get in range and relying on a handgun to interrupt them, stop. Pull that shotgun out for a blast and get some breathing room. Parry is a last resort because you got caught, not something you should be relying on.

So far, I have not felt that professional is cheap yet. You're not adjusting to what you have to do to survive.

I find it pretty fun, you can't just hope that you get kick opportunities, you need to keep a decent amount of distance depending on the situation. Shotguns with wider spread are more useful incase you need more space.

Pro mode seems balanced around infinite ammo this time, which is fine because it finally gives us something to use it on. Unlike RE2R in which Mr. X rudely stole all the mobs for his stupid chase bs.

Animations(aside from the knife ones) having ZERO i-frames is what really makes it difficult. You can literally be stunlocked to death. However, it's not impossible and shooting enemies in the body with your pistol tends to stagger them briefly so they don't smash your head in.

If you are getting surround, that just means your positioning is wrong or you need to nade and flash before getting overwhelm. I'm guessing you played normal on your first run and now just playing PRO?

Yeah, I played normal and PRO now. I played the hell out of re4 og on pro and did good. Thought it will kinda translate over Xd

Wrong. You can beat the professional new game with S+ rank with no bonus weapons and accessories, just need to get good

OG Pro is very easy, zero challenge.
