Gunpowder Attache(Classic) Not Working?
Is it just me, or does using the gunpowder attache not actually increase the chances of getting more gunpowder? I swear the rate I'm getting gunpowder feels like it hasn't changed at all.

I saw someone reference on the RE reddit that gunpowder drops are dynamic based on how much you have in inventory, so if you're not combining it the game kinda stops you from hoarding it if that makes sense? They want you to be actively using it or something.

If the attache case effect proc, it will have a briefcase icon beside the item.

The following is black briefcase taking effect to spawn its designated item.

This is true, and I can confirm that these "case" drops are appearing for the gunpowder one specifically. That is the one I'm using right now.

me too man... really I feel sick about this thing in RE4 Remake... I'm playing just with pistol and sniper rifle and I have like 6 small resources and 4 large resources ... and just 2 gunpowder ...so what the hell is with this game .. IDK???????????
I just unlocked the large resource attache and still waiting for it to drop.

Maybe it's cause enemies currently don't drop where I am in the game, so boosting the chances is increasing the percentage of zero? Lol

I’m going exactly though this. I get tons of resources, im even making money selling them because they take too much space, and I rarely get enough gunpowder to even use them. Meanwhile all my ammo is zero but handgun which I have my last bullets. Frustrating.

Just to add my 2 cents, the game has 2 types of loot: Fixed loot and randomized loot.

Fixed loot is, as the name implies, fixed and can either be found laying around, in treasure containers, or dropped from special enemies.

Randomized loot is split into two categories: Normal loot and Attache Case loot.

Normal loot is loot is determined from a pool of items that depends on your inventory contents. For example, randomized ammo drops are ALWAYS for the weapons you are carrying, and only as long as you have an amount in your inventory, that is below a predetermined, "threshold" amount (I don't know the exact numbers). If you surpass that amount, you will STOP getting ammo drops of that type.

The same applies for anything. I.e. after having two disposable knives in your inventory, you stop having knife drops. If you have no green herbs, you get green herb drops (And I think only when your life is low).

Regarding "Attache Case" loot, a percentage of randomized loot transforms into what your case bonus is (And is signified with by case icon). This is the only way to get random drops of an item type that you have surpassed its threshold.

For example, equipping a Silver Attache Case will often convert randomized loot to Handgun ammo, even when you have tons of handgun ammo in your inventory.

Apparently the game always gives you gold if there is nothing else to choose from.
I noticed that the charm that grants 20% extra magnum ammo when crafting, doesn't work. I tested with it and without it, I got the same amount: always 3 bullets.

Iirc the extra ammo bonus % when crafting ammo also depends on how much ammo you already have in your inventory.

For example, when crafting magnum ammo, if you have no magnum ammo in your inventory, then you're almost guaranteed to get an extra ammo proc, but if you have a lot of magnum ammo, you rarely get procs.

Try dropping all your magnum ammo and then crafting some new magnum ammo. I'm pretty sure that you'll get the proc for extra bullets most of the time.
