Dunno man, if you want speed, RPG is still the way to go.
If you want consistent knockdown, all you need is an explosive bolt into his weakpoint, not sure if you can stunlock him if you shoot a mine on him at the end of his recovery animation.

Gold egg fetches 10k and you get some spinels for the quest, I don't really see any use for this besides for the memes, unless you go out of your way to the throne room for another golden egg. (probably a time loss too.)

Spinels might be more worth it. Grenade followed by egg I think lets you melee him

speed won't matter when it comes to the cost of that rocket on a fresh playthrough. You could skip selling the egg using a y+r+G herb combo and get the same result for money.
