Remove body armor from "shirt" attire?
Probably grasping at nothing, but is there a way to disable to graphics for the body armor on Leon's default "shirt" attire? I find the body armor ugly and would prefer the character model without it. I'd sell the armor if it were possible.

Equipping the "shirt" attire did not defeat the body armor's appearance, sadly.

Haven't tried it myself, but have you tried manually equipping the shirt costume from the menu?

Sorry, should've made that clear. Yes, I have. I was hopeful but no luck.

This can only be done through a mod, it would be a matter of requesting it in nexus mods.

once the armor is fully damaged, it will not appear on Leon. Once you repair it, it will appear again.

Damn. I could’ve sworn I tried that… but on second thought, I think I’ve been using an alternative costume prior to until now - so I wouldn’t have seen. I’ll try, but I’m sure you are correct. Thanks for the heads up.
