That's what I did for my Professional Handcannon run. I mean if they take 4 headshots to die on Professional, then some of those might as well be crits so you're getting good value.
Red9 is garbage because at some point (and that point comes as soon as cabin siege tbh) you don't want high damage per bullet. You want high DPS. And Red9 is terribly slow.
Besides, you already grabbed the laser sight, and that's a lot of spinels you could use elsewhere. It only works with two crit pistols and the Punisher, so those are your options. I'd say SG/Sentinel Nine for Professional and Punisher for every difficulty below that.
Are you trying to get it just to sell it? It's not very good.
Thanks! :)
No. I'll only sell the Chicago Sweeper and Primal Knife once I get them. I'll be using Sentinel Nine in the beginning of the Handcannon run.
You sound like someone who hasn't use the Red9. For a Professional S+ rank run, I think the Red9 is too much of an investment. But a maxed out Red9 with stock and exclusive is easily the best regular handgun in the game because of the damage it does.
The crit percentage received a huge nerf this time around and having a few crits every now and then doesn't make up for being able to kill most regular human enemies in 1-2 shots (and some 3), no matter where you shoot them. And when they go Plagas mode it's also very easy to kill them with a handgun.
I think the idea here is to not waste money on several weapons with the same purpose. When you already invested in S9, go with it and spend the money on something else.
There's a place for the S9 and the money not spent upgrading another pistol will be a trade-off. Once you see a plaga, shoot with with a shotgun or rifle, then maybe finish it off with your pistol if needed.
You were right. Got to the island and I barely crit anymore <.<
What is the percent of reclaimed funds? Including the cost to rebuy the gun etc.
Side question: Does selling the chicago count as "using a bonus weapon" for S+ purposes?
Also I personally used the Sentinel Nine until I got rid of everything besides the Semi-auto and Handcannon at the Castle
Because the enemies there wear helmets and bulletproofed vests
