Professional mode and 'bonus weapon'

I'm currently doing a run to get S+ rank, so i can get everything in one go. ( the S+ rewards, and the two bonus weapon in shop. )

However, i got a question :
I got the deluxe edition, so i got two weapons from there.
And there's a weapon that ask the player to NOT use any bonus weapon to beat professional mode.

..I couldn't find anywhere to deactive the deluxe edition weapon. I left them in the storage and didn't touch it OR sold it.

Will it still allow me to unlock the bonus weapon at the end?

When it says "No bonus weapons" I'm pretty sure it means the super weapons like the infinite rocket launcher, chicago typewriter, and handcannon.

I'm doing it on a fresh save, so i couldn't get any infinite anyway, but i'll be sure to do that after that hellish challenge, heh.

Like I said, those shouldn't effect it at all.
It's only refering to weapons you get from the bonus menu.

Personally, I didn't risk it. But I'm pretty sure it's just the four in the extra content shop. So the Primal Knife aswell.

Handcannon requires completing Professional on a new save WITHOUT the use of the 3 bonus weapons (Knife, Typewriter, and Handcannon) but you can use bonus accessories.

S+ just requires a new save, but any bonus items can be used.

Well, nevermind.
I'm not doing this. Not until they patch this.
Game crashed on me 4 times, and i'm only at chapter 5. This is absolutely not fun.

You can use Deluxe weapons, no bonus weapons if you want to unlock the handcannon. on professional S+

that means no primal knife, launcher, chicago.

Since you're doing S+ without bonus weapons to get the handcannon unlocked with the cat ears and such in one go, the deluxe edition weapons don't count for this, you can still use them.

Regardless though, if you have any bonus weapons in storage like the chicago sweeper or primal knife, you can't use them of course, but you can absolutely still sell them for extra money.

Technically not, i guess, but it is NG+ only so it's a moot point to begin with.

That's very good to know, thanks! That will be some extra money for early on.
I'll still wait for a patch before i continue this, tho.

I don't know whether using deluxe guns disqualifies you, I didn't test it, so could be either way.

What I know for sure is you're allowed to sell them, same as chicago or primal knife.

You can sell those starting bonus weapons without a problem. I did that way and earned the achievement.

In the new update if you S rank all mercenary stages u can also get the handcannon that way.
