How to open certain chests

How do you open those chests which you cannot open with small keys?

Wayshrine chests? Some chests have a key that opens a group of chests, or a specific key for it only. If you haven't encountered it yet, they're pretty easy to find (especially using the treasure maps) so just keep playing and pick it up on your next trip through the area.

If you are before the castle and commenting on the chests with a unique shaped hole those require a special key to open which you'll likely find eventually.
You retrace your steps back through areas at least once so once you have it you'll get a chance to go back to those chests and open them. Just try to remember where they are.
