How do I start a new game+ run?

Finished my first playthrough, made a save of the finished game after the credits, but there are now only new difficulty options in the "new game" selection, not a new game+ option. And when I load the finished save file it puts me back to the Saddler boss fight. How do I start a new game+ playthrough?

You load the "New playthrough" save you just made.

Thats the new game+. You can choose your new difficulty after finishing your playthrough.

Nevermind, it works now. For some reason I had two new game+ saves, one worked the other put me back to the previous run.

I deleted my last post because i actually just realized what the guy i responded to meant by that because i am very tired and didn't process it correctly.

They're not wrong though. Loading a finished save lets you select the difficulties again. That's literally how NG+ works in this game.
