capcom went full woke with ada va
its the liberal agenda.
black actors must play black characters
asian actors have to play asian characters
latinos play latino characters
arabs play arab characters
indians play indians
etc.

this is like the whole simpson, cleveland show fiasco. i guess people forgot about apu from simpsons and cleveland show both non minorities who were axed due to the liberals cries that "the characters race should coincide with the actors race" instead of you know selecting people for their actual talent and skills. notices it only for america audience that the va was changed.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I65Z0rnaogs

all of ada va were white and sally did the best job. instead to fullfill the liberal audience needs they just picked a asian female who was horrible in the movie AND the game.

The way you infiltrate something is to simply do Subtle things that people will gloss over and say "Hey, it was barely in it, and wasn't a big deal" however once they've taken that, they will take more and it continues down this rabbit hole.

Let's actually LOOK at what Capcom did with their Localization team for their other upcoming games...

- the internal communications at Capcom that detailed their guidelines to adhere to wokeness.

- the decoupling of sex and gender in the character customization mode for games like Exo-Primal and SF6, with it being a continuation going forward.

- The host in SF6 isn't "gay" but "non-binary", further pushing extremist gender idealogy.

- The fact that Capcom's localization team met with social woke groups in the west to get consultation for some of the game's content

Please, Do Your Actual Homework People and Actually Take The Time To Look These Things Up, because it's not some tinfoil hat talk at this point!

Now I understand that we don't have any "huge" changes within RE4R involving these things, however Capcom HAS been collaborating with the Woke Mob, and moreover, these are also likely reasons in my opinion as to why Ada Wong did not have her long red Chinese dress from the Vanilla RE4 game because obviously that's too "sexualized."

Or that Ashley was completely removed out of her skirt because gosh forbid you can no longer have girls wearing skirts in games these days, even though everywhere in tiktok, instagram, or even female pop idols it's "acceptable." (-_-)

Although I believe the game of RE4R is absolutely Amazing, and it truly is, their is no doubt about it that they've been collaborating with the Woke community, and again it's the slow subtle changes that will slowly shift to more and more into the future.

It is something that we should be aware about and we should not gloss it over as some conspiracy or lie.

As it stands, these are my biggest concerns with Capcom as a gaming company moving forward, because they should just do what they've always done, do things because they are enjoyable, fun and cool, not to adhere to some political ideology of the day, and one that will be laughed at decades down the road as to how we even allowed such things to take place and occur within our time.

I can make things up too!

She sounds super off imo and lack that femme fatale feel the other versions have.

It felt like they put more focus on the casting than the character's personality. I'm a Chinese ESL myself and while I see why they made the choice I still don't think it was worth the trade off.

I do find it ironic to give Ada a Chinese accent because all it does is perpetuate the stereotype that all Asians have these "accents". There are plenty of first generation Asian immigrants in the U.S that does not have accents and those that do are often the result of trying to pronounciate English in their own native language.

They also never clarified Ada's actual nationality as Ada Wong was a pseudonym. Asian accents are different based on which country or even region of said country you are from. There are media in Japan that display "Chinese accents" in Japanese to clearly indicate their country of origin. Ada's voice in Japanese is still consistent to previous version of Ada. Only the English version of Ada Wong has a noticeably strong accent. If the JP version had an Chinese-Japanese accent then I would have believed it to be a design choice but it is not the case.

As a first generation immigrant who has lived in the United State for 19 year, Ada's VA comes off sounds more like a stereotype than a genuine representation of Asian Americans.

Imagine calling someone a racist for wanting to prioritize talent over skin color when your argument is literally, "Only Asian people can voice Asian characters."

Pretending only white people are talented is actually suuuuper racist.

Even before all of this, consider that Ada Wong--if that's even her real name to begin with--is literally a female super spy who has likely mastered multiple languages as part of her skillset to begin with.

I bolded the part that proves that this is literally you shamelessly lying.

It was just silly 14 year old "lol panties!" humor that fit with the tone of the 2004 game but not the new one which is way more serious. Ada is still in a form fitting dress. Not like they put her in a parka.

The decision honestly came off as ironically racist to me. "Oh Ada Wong sounds Chinese so lets cast a person with a Chinese accent" despite the fact that there are plenty of Asian immigrants that do not have or have extremely faint accents.

Going through the Japanese version of the game only made me question Capcom's decision for the English version since the Japanese version continues to follow her original personality and has no noticeable accent. English version is the only version of her to have a strong noticeable accent and there are games where a Chinese character in Japanese game would have a strong "Chinese Japanese" accent but Ada was never one of them.

In the entire series the only character that I could reasonable see sounding like Ada now would be Fongling and even then its a stretch.

arent you the one refusing to reply? you went right on the attack and accused him of being in a cult. it's a discussion. discuss what he said or say nothing.

I spent 20+ pages in another thread debating this guy and he failed to make one coherent point. He has proven many, many times that he has serious issues, just not here. But I can understand why I look like a clown to you. In fact, I am being a clown to some degree just by being here ^^

It sounds pretty conservative for blacks to play blacks, whites to play whites, asians to play asians. It would be woke for the devs to change roles/genders/narratives. And it also sounds like you don't know the full story behind this lol
