Yes. I did this myself.

However, S+ ranking Hardcore will apparently not unlock the achievement/challenge or unlocks for Assisted and Standard. It seems it only stacks for Professional mode, for whatever reason.

As for how I did it, i used Chicago Sweeper and Ashley in the knight costume, you want to do these requests:

farm medallions
rat hunting in chapter 2
viper selling
grave robber (breaking the twins graves)
lunker bass
gold egg
savage mutt
castle entrance medallions*

For the vipers, there's one in the box right after getting the insignia key, in the shack on the way to the quarry, and i get my third one by shooting one of the ones in the place where you get the boat fuel for del lago.

As for Savage mutt, make sure you have at least 3 grenades for this, and only use them after he's released his plagas because he won't die otherwise. Grenade him, then run up and stab him with the knife 3 times and he should die, if not he'll definitely die after a few shots. This is easily the hardest one to do though because of the bull-head ganado.

And if you get lucky and get 3 extra spinels from drops you won't have to do the castle entrance medallions. But either way on chapter 7 you get the exclusive ticket and use it on the Chicago Sweeper and from there you don't have much else to worry about.

Grab every treasure that is on the way that you can as well, including key items you won't be using, the for the lake it does make sense to grab about everything you can though since you'll be going to most places anyway. Also backtracking to the castle entrance once you get the cube is also worth it.

The hardest parts for me were chapters 1 and 2, cabin, and mendez fight (which almost made me give up because of how low i was on resources.)

As for my saves, they went like this:

Beginning of Chapter 3

Beginning of Chapter 5
Before the Cabin
Before Mendez
Beginning of Chapter 8
Beginning of Chapter 9
Beginning of Chapter 10
Before the mine carts
Beginning of Chapter 14

14 saves all together. I don't recommend not saving before Salazar though in case you get caught in his one hit kill attack, but it depends on if you are confident enough like i was.

Also save up for a rocket launcher to skip both the dynamite section and the Anti Air gun part of the Mike section as you can blow away the barricade and the AA gun with one rocket shot and skip those sections. If you manage to also get one for first phase saddler, do that as well, and i was easily able to do this since i had over 400k Ptsa by the end.

To finish off my time was 5:00:30. Almost exactly 5 hours.

I forget to mention in this post to also make sure you buy a rifle for the regenerators, best would be stingray for it's high fire rate, and upgrade the fire rate to max.

I would also heavily recommend actually upgrading your pistol and shotgun until you don't need them anymore and sell them back to the merchant after getting infinite ammo. I didn't do this because i was worried about how much money i would have if i did it, but i ended up with so much more than i needed and you get those weapons for free anyway and get back 95% of upgrade costs that it was a mistake to not upgrade them.

Also when you die, back out to the main menu to reload your save. DO NOT continue or load the save from in the game because your timer will not reset if you do that.

I don't know why this is the case, but it's apparently intentional for whatever reason since it worked that way in the 2 and 3 remakes as well.
