Knife durability damage values?

Curious anyone worked how how much damage to the knife certain actions do?

It's a very small thing but part of me feels like knifing boxes/crates might be faster that the kick (especially if Leon decides to do the stomp rather than round house when trying to hit multiple boxes at the same time).

i dont think you lose durability if you dont hit an enemy or better said i didn`t notice any lose when i used the knife to open crates

You don't lose durability from knifing crates and such, and yes it is quite a bit faster to quickly knife boxes rather than kicking them open.

Knife bass, viper, crow does cost durability. I accidentally broke a kitchen knife for knifing vipers at fish farm.

Probably also don't cost durability if you hit throwing axe with knife stab instead of parry it.
